Be aware that I will only accept Bitcoin (BTC) payments for donation. This can be easily accomplished through a lightning network transaction. I have very specific reasons for only accepting BTC payments and it has nothing to do with tax evasion, fraud, or other evil or criminal activity, despite what some media narratives push. I happen to believe that the value of my country’s currency is rapidly decreasing, therefore, I choose to hold some of my value in alternate forms. Be wary of facts put out by people like Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan-talking about how BTC is used by criminals. On December 5, 2023, Dimon commented to the US Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban affairs, “If I was the government, I’d close it down”, referring to cryptocurrency and BTC. JP Morgan has reportedly paid $39 billion dollars in fines in the past 5 years, using the traditional monetary system for 270+ charges including: fradulently-misleading investors, manipulating metals markets, possible funding of illegal activity, etc. It is odd that Dimon states he is opposed to cryptocurrency, as JP Morgan recently launched its own crytpocurrency token. Obviously, the traditional monetary system is responsible for funding the vast majority of crimes. These comments are designed to attack Dimon’s competition, namely BTC. Dimon is trying to protect his interests and will do what it takes to protect his power and wealth.
